Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2026-05-30T08:38Z ( STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
GOES: CCOR-1
Activity ID: 2026-05-30T08:38:00-CME-001 (version 1)

HAL: Halo CME

Note: This CME is visible as a northwest partial halo in STEREO A COR2 imagery, and a northeast halo in SOHO LASCO C2/C3 and GOES CCOR-1 imagery. Although no evidence of an eruption was visible on the Earth-facing disk, the Solar Orbiter STIX instrument, which was located at longitude -155 at the time of this event, observed the equivalent of a ~C9 flare peaking at 2026-05-30T08:01Z. Additionally, STEREO Ahead observed an increase in the 13-100 MeV protons starting around 2026-05-30T09:00Z, with a peak value of 0.02 pfu/MeV observed at 2026-05-30T10:15Z. It is possible the source is related to former Active Region 14436, located at N18E150 at the time of this event, based on prior activity from this region when it was on the Earth-facing disk. Additionally, the triangulated CME measurement places the CME in the vicinity of former Active Region 14436.

Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type
